It was October, 2005 when a friend told us he just saw the most beautiful feathered horse imaginable. He described this horse with a long flowing main and tail and beautifuly feathered feet. My wife, Brigitte, and myself visited this beautiful farm and fell instantly in love with the " Gypsy Vanner" breed. We then proceeded to research the best and most respected bloodlines of the breed and made plans to breed only the best to the best. The results of these breedings have proved to be just awesome, producing some of the most beautiful, intelligent and docile creatures on earth. As important as the quality of bloodlines are we found the imprinting of the foals are equaly important. We view Vanner Valley Farm as a boutique farm commited to not only breeding some of the finest "Gypsy Vanner" Bloodlines in the world but also personaly imprinting each and every foal. Brigitte and myself use the most proven "natural horsemanship" techniquies available. The training starts the day they are born and we continue on a daily basis. At 3 to 4 weeks our foals are comfortable wearing thier halters, being on a lead line, lifting their feet, desensatised to fly spray and whatever else it takes to have these maginificent horses a pleasure to be with.
This training process continues until our "Gypsy Vanner" babies are in their new qualified home.
We strongly believe that what sets us apart is the training we personally instill in each and every foal and how that foundation makes the ownership of our "Gypsies" such a loving and rewarding experience.
